James
and Shelia Isaak love being
together and sharing their lives
and lodge with others. Here is a
little about them;
Shelia came to Alaska from
Southern California; just a
slight climate and atmosphere
change! Marrying James prompted
the big
move for her. Shelia lived in
Southern California for most of
her life and her background is
in sales, marketing and business
administration. She has a great
love for nature and the outdoors
along with decorating, quilting,
cooking and doing all the
domestic things.
James was born and raised in
Alaska and has tremendous
insight and stories to share,
many of which stem from his love
of flying. James started flying
at the age of 16 and enjoys
being a bush pilot flying a J3
Piper Cub. James has proven
ability and talent as a
craftsman. You will appreciate
his work first hand because he
renovated the original homestead
into the now even more beautiful
Alaska Homestead Lodge. You’ll
enjoy getting to know James
firsthand.
Together Shelia and James enjoy
opening the lodge to people who
want to escape from the
pressures and demands of life to
a place of spectacular beauty,
peace, relaxation and fun.
“Guests often comment and thank
us for making them feel apart of
our family, as we take time to
enjoy meals together and share
the many stories of the bears to
Homesteader, Joe Munger and the
logistics of living in the
Alaskan bush.”
“The best part for us is meeting
people from all over the world,
getting to know them and seeing
the thrill and excitement as
they experience a piece of
Alaska’s paradise."
They look forward to meeting you
and your expectations during
your Alaskan adventure. |
